2nd Learning Reflection #OCL4Ed- Session 2

I started second session by watching Dr. David Wiley’s video signpost on OER definition. His career is dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunity for everyone around the world. I would like to say thank to him for his valuable contribution of our success and to build educational society all over. He refers to the 4 R's -reuse, revise, remix and redistribute and free access of content.
With the 21st century digital freedom for teachers and educators would vastly improve the quality and quantity of content used in schools, universities and learning institutions etc. Content free from license restrictions would allow for us specially educators, students and self-learners to constantly improve existing resources, and share in the benefits collectively. People who want to learn or doing research can get this valuable additional information or learning materials.

Students/Learners anywhere in the world can access OERs at any time, and they can access the material any time as they wish. The use of OERs instead of using textbooks or library can substantially reduce the cost of course for the students/research people. Students can get additional viewpoints and materials that may help them to succeed. During this session, I got to know the important and helpful OER may be in a student and teachers' perspective.
